Fenu greek leaves are very healthy and bitter in taste, so while using toor dal should me more in quantity to avoid bitterness, Heres an tip for you to avoid bitterness of these leaves,just by saoking them in water along with a spoon of salt and sugar for 10 minutes 

 INGREDIENTS: Oil, Toordal (kandhipappu), Menthaku (fenu greek leaves), Avalu (mustard seeds), Jeera (cumin seeds), Red chillies, Green chillies, Onions, Tomatoes, Salt, Turmeric (pasupu), Tamarind paste, Garlic cloves

PREPARATION:
  • Wash toor dal and fenugreek leaves cleanly
  • Place pressure cooker on flame
  • Add 1 glass of cleaned toor dal, 1/2 glass of fenu greek leaves, pinch of turmeric, cut green chillies, onions, 2 glasses of water and close the cooker lid for 4 whistles
  • Open the lid after pressure goes off completely, drain off excess water and hand blend the dal
  • Now place kadai on flame, heat 2 spoons of oil
  • Add t spoon of avalu, jeera and wait till they splitter
  • Then add cut onions, garlic and fry till golden brown
  • Now add cut red chillies and fry
  • Add cut tomatoes and saute well
  • Now give seasoning by adding salt, turmeric, tamarind paste or pulp, mix well
  • Now add boiled and hand blended dal and mx well
  • Bring it to boil for few minutes, add water if required
  • Off flmae, dish out and serve
  • Tastes good with rice, chapthis, jonna rotte, rotis..
  • Can have papads or some frymes along with this to make your lunch or dinner some more delicious
